Describe Your Work

Handmade goats milk soaps and lotions in unique fragrances and shapes. Many of our products were inspired by our customers looking for a certain theme or shape.

How did you get started in the crafts business?

After trying this type of soap on a business trip to the East Coast, I brought some home every time I traveled there and shared them. Soon after, friends and relatives were asking how to get more. That's when my wife and I decided to start our business. We finally found something we were passionate about.

How long have you been wholesaling?

This is our 5th year selling wholesale. It's grown to over 400 stores and counting.

What are your top 3 marketing methods for reaching new buyers?

Wholesale trade shows, sales reps and sites like IndieMe.

What percentage of your business is Wholesale? Retail? Commission, etc.?

90% wholesale and 10% retail.

How has IndieMe helped your business?
It's given us exposure to quite a variety of businesses that appreciate our types of products.

What advice do you have for new craft artists?

My advice is to keep at it, have great customer service and don't expect success overnight.

What advice do you have for new craft galleries?

Have something unique to offer. Not everyone will fall in love with it but some people will.
