Describe your work. I love to create fun, affordable, gift-able jewelry that will appeal to many age groups. How did you get started in the crafts business? I started in 1999, after the birth of my son. We were living in the midwest, about 20 hours from family. I treated myself to a handmade necklace online and when it arrived I thought "I can do that!". Being creative began to fuel me, I was losing my self purpose beyond being a new mother. How long have you been wholesaling? About 4 years. What are your top 3 marketing methods for reaching new buyers? Try to create new lines seasonally. Keep my price points and minimums low, it makes it easy for buyers to try out my pieces in their location. Look for locations that are a good fit. What percentage of your business is Wholesale? Retail? Commission, etc.? About 65% retail, 35% wholesale How has IndieMe helped your business? We have just started and excited to see the opportunities. What advice do you have for new craft artists? Believe in yourself and your work. What advice do you have for new craft galleries? Promote your artists and they will promote you back.
